Last week was our annual swim lesson trip to Green Canyon. Usually we camp out for the week with my sister Holly and my niece Andy, but because her twins were still so new we decided against camping this year and just drove up everyday. It made for a very early morning, but it really wasn't that bad. The girls had a great week. Abby was nervous about passing level 3 of which she was only able to do half of last year. She was supposed to be able to swim the width of the pool on her front and back, but only made it half way last year. This year she more than surpassed her goal of swimming across. In fact, she passed level 3 and 4. To pass 4 she had to do two laps on front and back. She did awesome. I had no idea she could do that. I am so proud of her. Karlee and Andy also did really well. By the end of lessons next year they'll be able to swim half way across if not more.
It also just happened that it was Andy's birthday while we were at lessons, so on Thursday Jared, Layne, and Heidi came up for part of the day and we had lunch for Andy's birthday and then we all went swimming afterward (except Holly and the babies). The kids had a blast. On Friday Layne came up again for part of the day and we let the kids swim one more time to finish off the week. Jake even fell asleep in the pool. That night we all went to Leo's for cake and ice cream and to play for Andy's birthday. It was a full week with lots of fun activities. We are already looking forward to next year.
